Hair color throughout the ages.....=)
Hair dyeing was already being practiced by the Gauls in 27bc; coloring was class indication, red was upper class of course. Unfortunatley in the dark ages, smoldering red beauties were considered to be involved in witchcraft. When Queen Elizabeth sat on her throne, it wasnt until this time red hair not only became socially acceptable but a sign of beauty and grace..... Thats right, not all gentlemen prefer blondes. Blonde hair, however had its allure to women; later on women achieved angelic golden hues for their hair by applying a formula of black sulfur, alum and honey, upon application sun bathing was called for to process said formula into a beautifull blonde. Obviously bleaches/lighteners were nowhere to be found at this time....=)
